A tiny barn full of things worth keeping — antiques, original paintings, ornaments, lamps and pieces of we've restored ourselves (or plan to).
Everything in the barn has been somewhere before — and most of it will outlast whatever you'd buy flat-packed this weekend. We repair what's sound, repaint what needs it, and leave alone anything that's earned its marks.
Come and open the drawers. That's what they're for.
I love to take tired old pieces of furniture and strip them back, ideally to the original wood,but where that's not possible I like to paint them in fashionable colours. I like solid, strong furniture that looks like it's had a good life — because it has.
Stock turns over weekly. Come in for one thing and leave with another — it happens to us too.
Paintings and prints from artists working nearby. Framed, ready to hang, and never reprinted.
Hannah is well known to people in Kirkby Lonsdale for her quirky watercolour paintings.
Lamps made from salvage and rewired to current standards, then tested before they leave the barn.
Most things can be revived. A wobbly joint ora tired finish are not a reason to skip it.

A written price and a realistic time period
Structure first, colour second. You'll get progress photos, and it comes back to you looking refreshed and matching your style.
One of everything, so it's first come. Message us to put something aside.
Park right outside the door. Dogs welcome, children welcome, and you're allowed to touch things — it's furniture, not a museum.
